As a young man, John walked the streets of old Philadelphia, with his easel and paint box. Many of the scenes he captured record the history of the city.  If you don't see your favorite spot here, contact him- he may have a painting of it!

Light and color are brighter and more intense in the Golden State, to the delight of a transplanted artist. The West opened up after the Colonial Period, but glories in the Victorian era architecture, a favorite subject for John.





Miniatures are not computer minimized drawings.  They are meticulously hand drawn and painted with a 3 zero brush and special magnifying glasses, a time-consuming process.  Each frame is custom made by the artist.
